Frequently Asked Questions

Questions are welcome here.

Here’s what authors usually want to know before we begin. If your question isn’t covered, send me a note.

How long does an author website take?

Most projects take several weeks after all required content has been received. Your proposal will include a realistic timeline based on scope and availability.

Do I need to provide my own copy?

No. Copywriting can be included in your package, or I can strategically refine copy you have already written.

Can you organize a large backlist or several series?

Yes. Clear book and series organization is a core part of author-site strategy, especially for established and hybrid authors.

Can the website connect to my newsletter or Substack?

Yes. We can connect supported email platforms, embed signup forms, and create clear paths from your website to your newsletter.

Can readers buy books directly from my site?

Depending on your platform and fulfillment plan, we can link to retailers or explore direct ecommerce. We’ll discuss tax, shipping, inventory, and technical needs before recommending direct sales.

Will my site work on phones?

Yes. Mobile behavior is considered from the start, including navigation, touch targets, type size, content order, imagery, and performance.

Is SEO included?

Every build includes foundational on-page SEO. More extensive keyword research, content planning, and ongoing optimization can be added.

How many revisions are included?

Your proposal will define specific review stages and revision rounds so expectations stay clear on both sides.

Will I own my website?

Your contract will explain ownership and licensing in plain language. You will retain ownership of your approved content and final site deliverables, subject to any third-party licenses.

Do you offer help after launch?

Yes. Launch support and basic training are included, and ongoing care options can be discussed if you want continued help.
